Hello all, Rick Slover here. I set this forum up because I have found that I don't always remember some of the great ideas people come up with that they share at the meetings, so I figured if I could capture them here, we all could benefit. I work as a Systems Engineer for the City of Knoxville. I also have been an amateur radio operator (amateur radio call ND4F) for many years, and have been active in emergency communications activities here in Knox County. I helped found the METERS (Middle East Tennessee Emergency Radio Service), of which I am a member. I am also a member of the Radio Amateur Club of Knoxville (RACK). My interests are varied, and I enjoy camping and hiking, so being prepared has always been one of my main interests. That is the main reason I joined CERT, to be one of the people not just standing around and wondering what happened, but taking an active part in the response and recovery. I am married, have two children (one starting Pellissippi State this fall, the other employed by Weigels Stores) and my wife is an artist.

Hi Scott here. I am an Instrumentation Engineer for TVA, and I own a karate school in Oak Ridge. I am a mild prepper, certified in first aid/CPR, and been interested in outdoor survival for as long as I can remember. I am married with 2 kids (3yr and 10mo), and very blessed. Good to meet you!

Hello, Larry Noe (KM4ITU) here. Retired electrician from UT Knoxville, involved with East Tennessee and District 6 Skywarn, I hold my General Class Ham operators license, and wanting to learn as much as possible about helping my community if/when a disaster may strike. CERT seems to be a good start to these plans.
